The Brandon Neighborhoods is so titled because of its location within the Morris Brandon Elementary School District; however, its lovely mix of urban and suburban homes attract residents from all around the metro Atlanta area. While families with children are surely drawn to its prized elementary school, many of the community’s beautiful properties are inhabited by residents who enjoy its nearby attractions and active neighborhood association.
In 2011, when the Brandon Neighborhood Association was officially established, the Brandon Neighborhoods became the 29th addition to The Buckhead Council of Neighborhoods. Comprised of approximately 300 homes, the Brandon Neighborhoods encompasses several northwest Buckhead communities, including Memorial Park, Wildwood, Castlewood and beautiful Springlake.
Most of the properties in the Brandon Neighborhoods were constructed between 1940 and the late 1980s, but potential buyers are impressed by the high-end renovations, elegant additions and in some communities, the outstanding, million dollar new construction homes. Still, the Brandon Neighborhoods retains its manicured, secluded charm – all while being near some of Atlanta’s best recreational venues.
The famous Bobby Jones Golf Course, Atlanta’s Memorial Park, the Bitsy Grant Tennis Center and the charming, seven-acre Beaverbrook Park are just a few of the area’s “green” attractions. Pocket parks also abound making enjoying the outdoors easy in the Brandon Neighborhoods, and all are finely maintained and welcoming, offering playgrounds, sports fields, creeks, trails and more.
If you’re looking for an intown Atlanta home – even if school systems are not a determining factor in your search – you’re encouraged to explore the many great communities comprising the Brandon Neighborhoods.
